What Arce is
Arce is a browser-based 3D design studio for furniture makers and interior designers that turns a description or reference image into an editable, manufacturable model and exports it to STEP, 3DM, USDZ, 3MF, OBJ, GLB, GLTF, and STL.
Frequently asked questions
What is Arce?
Arce is a browser-based 3D design studio built for furniture makers and interior designers. You describe a piece, or start from a reference image, and Arce produces an editable 3D model with real dimensions. From there you adjust the geometry, materials, and joinery, then export to the format your shop, renderer, or client needs.
Who is Arce for?
Furniture makers, millwork and cabinet shops, interior designers, and the studios that serve them. It suits anyone who has to move from an idea to a model that can actually be built, rather than to a picture of a model.
How is Arce different from AI 3D generators like Meshy or Tripo?
Most AI 3D tools produce a mesh, which is a surface good enough to look at but awkward to manufacture from. Arce is built around manufacturable output: it exports parametric CAD interchange formats such as STEP and 3DM, and the dimensions, materials, and joints stay editable after generation. If your next step is a shop drawing or a CNC file rather than a render, that difference is the whole point.
How is Arce different from Fusion 360, SketchUp, or Rhino?
Those are precise, capable, and slow to get an idea into. Arce is aimed at the front of the process, where you are still exploring directions. You get to a dimensioned, editable model in a fraction of the time, then take it into your existing CAD tool through STEP or 3DM if that is where your production workflow lives. Arce is meant to sit in front of that software, not replace it.
What file formats does Arce export?
Arce exports STEP, 3DM, OBJ, GLB, GLTF, USDZ, STL, and 3MF. STEP and 3DM are the parametric CAD formats most shops and manufacturers ask for. USDZ covers AR previewing, and OBJ, GLB, GLTF, and STL cover rendering, visualization, and 3D printing.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Arce runs in a normal web browser on a normal laptop. There is no download, no plugin, and no workstation graphics card required.
Do I need to know CAD to use Arce?
No. You can describe what you want in plain language. Knowing CAD helps you push a model further once it exists, but it is not what gets you started.
Can I keep editing the model after it is generated?
Yes, and this is the part that matters most. A generated model is a starting point, not a finished artifact. Every dimension, material, and joint remains yours to change.
Is my design work private?
Your projects are private to your account. STEP conversion in particular runs locally in your browser, so that geometry never leaves your machine.
How do I get access to Arce?
Arce is onboarded through a demo rather than a self-serve signup, so the setup matches how your studio actually works. Book a demo on the homepage or email support@arce.design.
Who makes Arce?
Arce is made by Suzanne 3D Inc., based in San Francisco, CA. The company is part of the NVIDIA Inception program and Founders, Inc. Canopy.
